Northside and Southside PharmaChoice is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated pharmacist participate in the daily operations of the Pharmacy that works in a team environment and collaborates with other health care professionals. The ideal candidate would have an interest in developing specialty areas of practice as well as a passion and interest to develop and implement patient focused programs.

To participate in the overall operations of the Pharmacy, including providing consultation to both customers and health care providers, practice to full scope in providing professional services, dispensing medication, and assisting in the maintenance of the dispensary.

Education & Professional Licensing

• Registered pharmacist in good standing with the relevant provincial regulatory body
• Graduate of a recognized Pharmacy program
• Injection and First Aid Certification
• Experience with Kroll an asset

Hours

• Monday to Friday 8:30-6pm
• Saturday 9-5
• Sunday 12-5
• Stat Holidays Closed

 

Pharmacy Assistants help with drug dispensing by measuring, compounding, packaging and distributing medications. Pharmacy assistants maintain stock levels and perform clerical functions. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following and other duties as outlined by the Managing Pharmacist:

• Gather and enter patient information and doctors’ prescriptions in Kroll
• Assess prescriptions for completeness
• Prepare, package and prescription medications
• Maintain prescription and inventory record keeping system
• Place and receive orders for stock to maintain inventory
• Accept payment for prescriptions
• Prepare and settle third party insurance claims and records

Work Hours:

• Must be available to work a rotation of days, evenings and weekends
• Pharmacy Hours: Monday-Friday: 8:30-8 Sat: 9-5 Sun: 12-5 Holidays: 11-2

Good telephone, communication and computer skills. Retail experience is considered an asset.
